I think the market largely has the wrong definition of IPA, but we can turn to HFS for a take on it: " "Intelligent Process Automation Definition: Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) is the use of technology to allow a business function or part of the operation of a…

Rony - I think the big RPA players are already moving that way (toward more end-to-end platforms).  It's a long way to go, but they have significant customer adoption on their side.  The big integrated players - IBM, Pega, SAP, etc. and smaller ones like Appian - have less…

I don't have a great ease-of-use comparison, but let me give you a few thoughts that are a bit easier to read than some of the below:  1. BPMN.io - simple open source package for modeling BPMN processes.  Many BPMN modelers are based on the same interaction paradigm here,…

Nice review - I'll offer that if you're looking for easier-to-use UI for IBM BPM/Automation, you might want to check out Brazos UI from BP3.

BPMN is a great standard for modeling and notating business processes. One of the key features that isn't often remarked upon is that, for the most part, it is easy to DRAW on a white board or by hand, not just easy to use the symbols in a drag-and-drop mode. I really feel…

The basics are straightforward, but if you want to get the actual $$ amounts that's harder as it is a constantly evolving (and in general, commoditizing) space from a price perspective. First, for unattended bots, traditionally vendors try to compare the bot to the price…

RPA is great at emulating what a person would do to read data, enter data, pass data along from one system to another, extract data, inspect data, re-organize that data in a rote way. However, all of these activities can be brittle without adding some intelligence around…

I'd advise a different approach, outlined in this blog post: "How to turn ROI into ROMG with RPA" 1. Look for areas of friction in collecting, receiving, or recognizing revenue! 2. Look for areas where your clients experience friction working with you! 3. Combine RPA…

About me

As co-founder and CEO of BP3, it's my job to help our clients find a faster way. Our clients want a specific business outcome, and they want it in the fastest way possible, and that's what BP3 is here to deliver. We deliver those outcomes because we bring a more focus, more foresight, and more followup approach to every single client engagement. We leverage our experience in Process, Design, Robotics (RPA), AI, Machine Learning, Decision Automation, and Software Engineering to deliver Intelligent Automation Solutions for our clients.

Prior to BP3, I was Chief Architect and Director of Technical Services and the Lombardi On Demand Assistance program at Lombardi Software, which was an early and innovative entrant in the Business Process Management (BPM) software space, later acquired by IBM in 2010, and becoming the cornerstone of IBM's offering in that space.

Prior to Lombardi, I started Westslope Software, LLC to manage my independent software consulting efforts.

Prior to Westslope Software, I worked 7 years with Trilogy in several different senior technical, management, and leadership roles - from Development to Consulting to Technical Sales.
