About me

Richard is Senior Marketing Manager at NetApp where he is responsible for Cloud Analytics.

Prior to NetApp Richard served as a marketing consultant helping clients define their product and marketing strategy. Prior to consulting, Richard served as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for KnowNow, a start-up delivering enterprise syndication technologies. Richard also served as Vice President of Products at AvantGo, a leading provider of mobile enterprise software, where he was responsible for determining product direction and strategy, as well as, overseeing engineering and product management. Prior to AvantGo, Richard served as Vice President of Engineering and Product Management for BEA Systems where he led efforts in developing the BEA WebLogic Portal. Richard has also held various executive management positions at SCO and Digital Equipment Corporation where he was instrumental in the creation of the X Window and Motif standards.

Richard holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont and a B.A. in Sociology from Alfred University
