    What is our primary use case?

    Firewall Analyzer helps our network team to analyze the log, helps in monitoring the firewall and network security status. It also helps in managing the compliance as per company policy, reviewing employee activities over the internet, etc.

    How has it helped my organization?

    Firewall Analyzer helps our organization to fulfill the compliance requirement as per ISO 27001, managing the network security effectively.

    OEM needs to work on pricing, apart from the same current features which are effective and useful for any organization.

    Stability of the solution is satisfactory.

    The tool is effective and can be scalable as per the requirement.

    Technical support is satisfactory.

    We didn't have any other tool earlier. However, we have evaluated multiple tools before finalizing on the Firewall Analyzer.

    Implementation is easy.

    Implementation was done by an in-house team.

    Till date approx. 80%.

    Licensing policy and implementation is easy.

    I found the reporting to be useful because not only can I go back months, but it lists the individual, URLs, and the time that a particular person visited

    Using this product as a syslog server to capture windows server logs and Palo Alto firewall. The default logs per product differ as I needed longer than one month's worth. 

    How has it helped my organization?

    It is another tool to have. In my case, it stores my logs for me so that I can use the product to do reporting.

    It's quick and responsive. No side effect yet.

    I can see it being able to replace the Palo Alto logs as it gives a better view of the information needed.

    Haven't called yet.

    The setup was easy enough not to have to call tech support.

    Setup was extremely easy. A lot of good tutorials are available.

    With the log transparency, you can understand the source & destination with the service port number.

    What is most valuable?

    The most valuable feature is log transparency because it shows logs in a very easy way. You can easily understand the source & destination with the service port number.

    The event log also works fine. We get transparency in the event log product.

    How has it helped my organization?

    They should improve monitoring & notifications when switching concepts. My latest experience is they were unable to get switch access alerts. It doesn't have any option for Cisco IPS monitoring. Their server doesn't support 64-bit Check Point firewall & many other types of firewall, like Sophos.

    What needs improvement?

    They should appoint more technical staff for Saturday & Sunday support.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have used it for more than two years.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    I have encountered stability issues. Many times when I have restarted my log server, services wouldn't automatically start.

    In the event log analyzer, many times the servers don't show logs.

    How are customer service and technical support?

    Customer Service:

    Customer service is very good & polite. As I mentioned elsewhere, they should appoint more tech staff for Saturday & Sunday support.

    Technical Support:

    Tech support is excellent & polite. I've talked with Mr. Aswim many times; he has always given quick & polite responses.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    I didn't previously use any monitoring solutions.

    What about the implementation team?

    I implemented it directly with ManageEngine.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    I didn't use any other solutions, so I can't say anything about pricing. I think the price is high as per other solutions.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    Before choosing, we also evaluated SolarWinds Syslog Server.
