A stable public Wi-Fi system with good signal strength

What is our primary use case?

We installed this solution as a public Wi-Fi system for our network.

What is most valuable?

The signal strength is good.

What needs improvement?

The security needs to be improved because we have had problems with people accessing our network using the VPN.

I think that there is work that needs to be done in terms of updates.

The GUI could be improved because it needs to display more information that is related to the network.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Dell EMC Ruckus for a few years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a very stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is okay and there are more than 1,000 users. It is an open Wi-Fi for our network.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

The wireless solutions that I am dealing with are primarily Cisco, Sophos, and Ruckus.

How was the initial setup?

We did not perform the physical installation of this system but I can say that after that is complete, the initial setup is straightforward and not difficult.

It was a large project and it took several months to deploy.

What about the implementation team?

We contracted a partner who was responsible for the installation of the physical devices, and our in-house team completed the setup.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have been trying a lot of wireless networks, trying to find the proper one.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is considering this solution is that they do not need to complete a proof of concept. It is a product that functions well and I recommend it.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
