We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable feature is the centralized console, which can handle different products that we have.""The console and tools are very user-friendly.""Good file integrity monitoring features.""The most valuable feature is the endpoint protection system."

"It is a scalable product and is average stability-wise.""It seems to be user-friendly. Our users seem to like it for the most part.""The solution, especially in older versions, is quite stable.""The solution offers very good security features and is comparable to Sophos.""Their threat protection is very good. We are managing a good number of users thanks to the solution and we are pretty satisfied with it.""The anti-virus and firewall policies are the most valuable features of this solution.""There are no issues with scalability.""Symantec End-user Endpoint Security is a very powerful solution."

Cons
"The support is very bad. They're not fast at all. Trend Micro's support is much better.""They need to develop a more flexible product that can be scaled such that it fits well into a small business or a bigger, enterprise-level solution.""Could have better reporting capabilities and better support.""This solution clashes with Microsoft defender, which results in performance degradation on the machine."

"Maybe Symantec Endpoint Security could amend their pricing structure, but they always offer a good product.""The solution is very difficult to uninstall. There isn't really a way to uninstall the product at all, which is quite a headache.""Every time an OS comes out, I have to upgrade the Symantec product. They don't know how to patch it. If they would produce a patch instead of uninstalling or installing over the current version and rebooting I'd be a lot happier with the product.""It can maybe send notifications when there is an update and everything is successful.""They provide the updates of the client, and those clients need a reboot after the upgrade, which is something we don't like. We don't like to reboot the server after the upgrade because we have live applications. If we do a reboot, it can impact the business as well.""The stability was not the best. There were times when antivirus updates broke it. It wasn't necessarily self-updating - at least, not in terms of the virus signatures. It updated in terms of the executable files. Therefore, when Windows updates would come out, they often couldn't be installed, or the computer would hang due to the fact that the updates weren't compatible with the antivirus.""The technical support could be a bit better.""This solution is resource-heavy."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Compared to some other solutions, such as CrowdStrike, Symantec is more expensive."

More Symantec Data Center Security Pricing and Cost Advice »

"The price of the solution could be less expensive.""There is a yearly license.""We pay our licensing fees on a yearly basis, and everything is included in that price.""Licensing is based on a yearly subscription.""The price of Symantec End-User Endpoint Security is okay. When comparing the price of this solution is not expensive.""It is cheap. It is especially cheaper than Malwarebytes, which is three times higher than this. It is also cheaper than Cisco. Its price is almost similar to Bitdefender, Gravity, and CloudZone.""They're on the reasonable side. They are at mid-level. They're not too expensive as compared to their competitors. They're also not too cheap. In terms of price structure, hopefully, they could do a subscription.""Symantec is expensive."
