Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"Nagios XI helps us monitor the bandwidth of the internet connection, HTTP, DNS, active directory services, and exchange data availability. We have multiple servers to monitor databases, availability of servers, and ping.""The solution is pretty stable.""Nagios is a custom API manager, and we can expose custom APIs for our integration. This is a great feature.""Nagios is stable and it's easy to use the monitoring software, which is why we chose this product."

"It's a single system of record and it captures the relationships.""The biggest advantage of ServiceNow is the value that it brings.""It does a good job of collecting the data that's necessary for data centers, and IT's operations.""They provide the ability to see into the Discovery tools I want. Cons
"We often need to develop custom plugins to get Nagios to work the way we want it to work because the features we need are not always available in Nagios.""It is really difficult to integrate Nagios XI with another system to generate logs and alert our management of failures in security infrastructure.""The installation and monitoring need improvement.""The pricing has recently risen. I know they've changed what is covered under the license, however, it doesn't change the way we use it and adds nothing to our experience, and yet we now have to pay more."

"Without improvement in the patters, applications can't be discovered""The solution needs to improve the cost of the solution. There are a few different solutions and they do act the same and have the same types of capabilities, however, the cost is quite high.""The service mapping component is less developed than it is in other solutions, and is in need of improvement.""On the Software Asset Management part of it, I expect additional reconciliation and Discovery features there.""They can expand on the plugins for some of the other tools.""Technical support has not been helpful when we have come across problems.""In terms of improvement, I would like for it to be possible to use without coding. I would like a dropdown so that every customer can do it easily for himself and can understand it.""When you switch versions, for example, when you go from Paris to Quebec they will introduce many new things and occasionally things break when they do that."
