Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I have found the cross analysis feature to be the most valuable.""The most valuable features have been the interface and the ability to do equipment management.""This product provides good visibility into applications at the backend.""The containerization of different objects was very helpful in building an org structure. Being able to separately manage your MSP clients with separate visibility was also helpful.""The fault management is perfect.""Scalability is a highly rated feature of this solution. It is better than some of the other tools that I've used in terms of scalability. We scaled it to tens of thousands of devices.""The presentation layer is pretty simple and straightforward.""We were able to standardize the internal processes across all internal departments, resulting in almost an elimination of non-standard process flows through our organization."

"The solution has very good integration capabilities.""It's very easy to use.""It's very easy to use.""Support is one of the best aspects of this solution. NetCool is a good product that has good flexibility. There are a lot of documents available online which is one of the best features of IBM Tivoli Suite. Whenever an issue happens, rather than going to technical support, if you find the exact issue in Google, you can get tech notes for that particular issue.""Anything is possible with Tivoli. It's quite a robust system."

Cons
"It's not a great performance management tool. Its reporting capabilities are not very good at all.""The solution could improve by allowing the ability to monitor the network shortly after installing the software and adding an auto-discovery function.""Integration with some other tools, and integration with some Network Packet Broker, need some improvement.""Its visualization can be improved. It doesn't have a very advanced GUI. It is very basic and simple, but it does work.""For us, the implementation was quite complex but it's because of the large number of different environments we're dealing with.""I think the management or configuration of devices needs some improvement.""For my use case, incident coordination was an area of improvement. The internal software engine for coordinating outages could use improvement because sometimes, we used to get false alerts for unrelated devices. They did a really good job of trying to make sure that you got one major alert and any of the subsequent devices downstream were just additions to that, but occasionally, the engine wouldn't properly catch the right things, and we used to get a flood of alerts.""DX Spectrum could be improved by them getting rid of the Java console. It would also be better with Turkish language support."

"The solution is too expensive.""The installation could be simplified, and technical support could be faster.""In terms of improvement, I would like to see more AIOps, Artificial Intelligent Operations in the next release. IBM develops new features for Power BI or Cognos Analytics, which is good. As of now, we use Cognos Analytics, we are not using Power BI. They have the Insight concept but we don't like that.""The solution is not user-friendly.""The installation could be simplified, and technical support could be faster."
