We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is its stability.""The features that I have found most valuable are that it has very robust servers and a very heavy load. We've been working on servers now for 10 years and those servers are still up and running. Those servers are still very powerful until today.""It has extremely high performance, and it is easy to manage.""We like PowerEdge for its high-performance computing architecture."

"Their support is very good and very effective.""The initial setup is very good, not complex at all.""Our customers do not ask for any service for the Dell EMC PowerEdge Rack Servers because they are very durable.""Dell EMC PowerEdge Rack Servers is powerful.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward.""Virtualization and distributed power management are good and valuable features.""The most valuable features are remote management and iDRAC.""The initial setup is so easy."

Cons
"It should have more simplified management. It is a common problem where vendors think that they have simplified a solution, but the users don't look at it in the same way. A vendor thinks that there are only ten steps for a task, but we consider them as many steps. It should also have more support for NVMe. For high performance and speed, there should also be more network cards for the fiber channel and ethernet.""In terms of the cost, it is a little bit high, meaning, there is some difference in the cost compared to the equivalent product with HP servers.""I think that Dell has full documentation on their products, but it needs to be improved for this one.""Before the cloud solution and virtualization, we relied on Dell hardware from specific vendors. The lifecycle for cloud infrastructure is shorter than it used to be. We need a longer lifecycle from the IT supplier providing the computing solution."

"It would be nice if the rack servers had an HCI solution as an option.""The analytics reports could be more useful.""The performance could be a bit better.""I would like to see a virtual view of the solution after creating and configuring it.""After purchasing the product, customers have not been getting the support that they need in the early stages of getting set up. They can provide customers a little bit more education as to what they get with certain warranty levels. The data is there if the customers dig, but a lot of times, the customers don't dig. Some of the other server models come out a little bit quicker than Dell. It would be good if Dell is quicker to market on new, larger drives when they become available. Sometimes, we do get hit on that against a couple of competitors. Dell vets them a little bit longer than like the super micros to keep their stability and quality level up, but they lose a little bit of ground to a super micro. It would be good if they can release features and models as soon and as fast as they can. It would help them to stay more competitive.""The shipment times could be improved. Sometimes we have to wait four or five days before we get the actual servers. It could even be longer. Sometimes it is many days.""As the disks and memory should be expandable, I would highlight scalability as an issue.""I would like to see the pricing improved."
