Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The code, once developed, is pretty stable.""I found that the REST API commands are very useful and easy to use.""The ease of use for the end user and the very low complexity in trying to build a bot are the big factors for us. We are able to work on a project, identify a use case, come up with a design spec, and execute and build a bot within a span of six to eight weeks. In nine to ten weeks, we are able to go live, which reduced complexity. Once we go live, the user interface and the user experience are extremely good.""Automation Anywhere offers the capability of integrating the DLL files with meta bot and hence the developer can use DLL files to connect to applications likes outlook, SAP, etc""The best feature is the drag-and-drop command. Users with less coding knowledge can also automate their end-to-end processes very easily.""The development of the company from Automation Anywhere V11 to a2019 was valuable. I found many important and new features, like changing the way we write code and programming. It became much easier and very flexible in version 2019A. It became very easy to use and the recording was also good. Excel became very good too.""Simply tagging variables used in the bot, can provide automated real-time dashboards that are presentable to management showing them a complete view of how the bots are performing.""The insights provided by the dashboard are excellent."

"Attended automation has diverted 34 percent of training calls to our tech support centers.""We have been using Kryon Process Discovery for about a year now. With our initial tests and monitoring just a couple people, we were able to identify 79 possible use cases within a one-month period.""The bot is typically about twice as fast as a person and more accurate, as long as the data going in is good. That is the biggest advantage.""We use Kryon Studio to develop new wizards and we use the features to capture elements from the screen and automate processes... The screen capture allows us to interface with systems which don't have an API, or where the API is very expensive, and it allows us to do on-screen integration."

Cons
"It is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability.""Also, the Master certification should be provided free of cost for partners. More practical samples and examples of bots using new features in A2019 should be available in people Documentation. A2019 presentation material for proposing A2019 as an RPA choice should be provided to partners.""The mobile application can be improved by adding more functions and capabilities abuse right now, only a few features are enabled for mobile users.""Automation Anywhere should add a couple of commands which will help most developers not to always use a script, a good example is in String operations.""Vertical connecting lines would be appropriate within the code, and a collapse/expand feature for code blocks would be ideal.""Bots get disconnected from control rooms sometimes without any reason and this takes up a lot of time.""The AA portal should not give us pop-ups every time a bot agent is updated.""IQ Bot should have an easier way to tag the document's source after extracting information from the document. (Which group does the document or a transaction belong to)."

"I have seen some very minor occurrences where Kryon's interactions with Microsoft Office might cause the robot to hang. However, it is about one to two percent of the time where we are seeing this happen. It is such a small percentage that it's not even something that we are overly worried about. This would be where they might have some stability issues, but it could be the Microsoft Office API or how they are interacting together.""With the customer support, there have been some times where we have had to go through explaining the issue a couple times because it has gone through a couple of people's hands. There have been a couple of scenarios where we have had to re-explain the issue and bring somebody new up to speed on what is going on or what the problem is.""The only unstable part is Studio where you build this stuff. In our version, the 5.25. It has a memory leak. If you leave it open for too long, eventually it just freezes. Saving your work, closing, and opening it just once a day is all it takes. However, this is a bug that I have noticed about the stability of the actual tool.""We have found some difficulties regarding the integration with legacy systems where the screen has elements in the Hebrew language. The connection to Hebrew, right-to-left systems, is more challenging."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Costs savings have been seen by employing bots for multiple shifts instead of people."
  • "My only suggestion in terms of pricing is very generic and that is to consider that as much as RPA saves cost and does automation, please get a realistic estimation done on whether you are really achieving any ROI over your investment with RPA."
  • "It is one of the most affordable RPA solutions, and as for licensing, they offer a community edition that greatly helps anyone who aspires to learn about the product before buying the enterprise solution."
  • "The price of this product is good."
  • "I don't deal have cost specifics but I can say it is a tool that provides value for the money."
  • "Pricing is affordable and I would recommend beginning with the Starter Package."
  • "The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
  • "Automation Anywhere is flexible in terms of costing and licensing."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "They license per robot and we have 25 robots. You get so many robot licenses and can allocate those licenses to either attended, unintended, or Process Discovery bots. If you have 25 licenses, for example, you could have 20 automation bots and five process discovery. This allocation is flexible. There are also maintenance costs."
  • "We are probably saving $6000 to $8000 a month in labor costs. It's not a ton, but we're right around $60,000 to $80,000 a year with our current deployment."
